North Decatur FFA
The North Decatur FFA is a 100+ student member organization that focuses on leadership development, community service, and career preparation.
Members of our chapter organize and participate in a minimum of one community service activity per month throughout the year. We also compete in over twenty different Career Development Events (CDEs) throughout the year.
Career Development Events
Career Development Events at FFA allow students to utilize the knowledge and skills they’ve gained in the classroom in competitive events. Popular CDEs include soil evaluation, dairy and dairy foods evaluation, crops and forestry, parliamentary procedure, livestock evaluation, horse and pony evaluation, and public speaking.
Fundraising and Community Service
FFA raises funds throughout the year to enable students to participate in CDEs and community service projects at Decatur. Our annual citrus sales run from October to mid-december, giving everyone time to purchase and enjoy for Christmas!
Our community service events include:
- Fundraising for local charities
- Bell ringing for the Decatur County Cheer Fund
- Trunk or Treat
- State Fair maintenance projects
- Christmas Caroling
- Organizing petting zoo and other fun events for local kids
- Organizing spirit days for NDHS
- And much more!
